Green Light, But Please Stop

I need to stop trying to catch a glimpse of your face in the crowded hallway

And I need to stop seeing your eyes when the light turns green

And seeing your smile on faces that arent yours

I need to stop associating you with every song I hear on the radio

And I need to wipe your writing clear off my wall

Your touch scrubbed clean off my skin

I need to stop imagining you walking through my god damn bedroom door at 1am

I need to stop hoping you’ve made a mistake

But oh god I hope you have

I hope you think about me as much as I think about you

And I hope it hurts

I hope you realize what a mess you’ve made
